LBCT welcome adult volunteers to help at our weekly sessions. As a community group we all volunteer our time and energy free of charge, this allows our members to access performance opportunities and weekly rehearsals at a reasonable cost, making the groups accessible for all. Our mission has also always been to raise as much for local, national and international charities raising over £180,000 through theatre performances. The group also loves to perform at community events. David and Sally have been leading the group for the last 29 years. David graduated from The Royal Academy of Music and Sally having studied Drama and Theatre in London has become an accomplished director and teacher both with LBCT and as Team leader at Vandyke Upper School. They are joined by the amazing Hayley and Nathan, Hayley is also a Drama teacher at Vandyke Upper School, both Drama graduates, fabulous Kerry an early years practitioner and superb Callie a local Middle School teacher. Lissie ,a professional performer, and Tom a Drama facilitator both graduated from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and support us in performance and rehearsals when they can. All of these wonderful people all perform locally whenever they can in the community and with The Advance Theatre Company. We have a great team of volunteers but need more volunteers to help at weekly sessions, support children in group work, help with admin, lead activities, share your skills. We also need more help at events, backstage, tech team, publicity etc Weekly sessions are on Tuesdays 4.15-5.30 and 6pm-7.30-any help would be amazing. Full training will be given and all adult volunteers require an enhanced DBS.
